By creating a HostBooks account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
HostBooks is an expense tracking tool that uses AI to extract and categorize data from uploaded invoices and receipts. It is designed to help short-term rental hosts organize their expenses.
HostBooks is not a tax advisor, accountant, or financial advisor. The information and exports provided are for organizational purposes only. Always verify extracted data for accuracy and consult a qualified tax professional before filing.
AI-powered extraction is not perfect. HostBooks makes no guarantee that extracted values (amounts, dates, vendors, categories) are accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any errors before relying on the data.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to upload any unlawful content.
The free plan includes up to 15 receipt extractions and one complete export, with no expiration. Paid subscriptions provide unlimited receipt extractions and exports and are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are not normally provided for partial billing periods. If HostBooks permanently discontinues paid service before the end of a prepaid period, we will provide any refund required by applicable law and our shutdown notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any errors in extracted data.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abusive purposes.
HostBooks may discontinue the service. For a planned shutdown, we intend to provide at least 30 days' notice when reasonably practicable and a way for users to export their data before access ends.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
